Adsell's first foray into broadcast television could not have been more successful. ' The Professionals', a four part documentary series about middle ranking sports professionals, those who struggle in relative obscurity for the love of the game and a basic wage, was an outstanding success.
''The Jockey' the episode which featured Joanna Morgan as she reached the end of an interesting career on the racetrack, was selected for screening at the prestigious Banff Television Festival, taking its place alongside such programmes as Frasier, NYPD Blue. ER and Father Ted.
From a total of 722 entries from 38 countries our series 'The Professionals' was one of only two Irish productions selected for the festival.
Today in the area of broadcast Adsell concentrates solely on producing TV commercials for the bloodstock industry. Most racing channels now offer excellent rates for advertising - a great opportunity to promote your business to an ever increasing captive audience. |
